The purpose of the association is the water tourism development of the Finow Canal region for the association members. The association performs its task as a delegated task (delegation).

Tasks

• Securing the permanent water tourism use of waterways in the association area for motorised and muscle-powered boat traffic,
• Operation, maintenance, repair, modernisation, construction and traffic safety of locks and other hydraulic engineering facilities,
• Promotion and marketing of the water tourism infrastructure and all water tourism offers in the association area, including the organisation and implementation of publicity events,
• provision of ancillary services under the conditions of § 91 paragraph 5 of the Brandenburg Municipal Constitution.
